good foundation – love this cheap foundation. I have an expensive one and a cheap one. I use the cheap one for everyday make up look and the expensive one on occasions. blend with my skin tone perfectly.

Defective and about to expire – I compared the CG TruBlend Matte Made foundation I bought from the store with the CG foundation I bought from Amazon. The bottle itself from Amazon looked the same, but the cap was loose on the pump and the product was runny. I checked the expiration date and it was dated 2020, so the foundation could be close to expiration. I don’t think I would buy beauty products again from Amazon if I could find them in store. It doesn’t seem as fresh as store bought beauty products. The store bought CG foundation was not runny and the cap on the bottle was not loose. Plus, the sealed tape was wider and didn’t look like thin office tape. I haven’t worn the foundation long enough to tell you the longevity, but I feel like the foundation is the same as long-wear foundations depending on the skin type and the weather. Overall, I like the selection of shades and the foundation is lightweight and gives me enough coverage.

Very decent, long-lasting foundation – Ever since I learned that Cover Girl was cruelty-free—one of the few affordable cruelty-free cosmetic lines out there—I’ve switched over. Overall, I’ve been pleased as is the case here. Coverage is medium—not mask-like, but provides decent coverage for imperfect skin—it’s impressively long lasting, and I was able to match the shade on the first try…which was a pleasant surprise ordering online.

Be Warned– contains stearic acid comedogenic! Almost too matte! – Update– I think this may be breaking me out in cysts (not little whiteheads, deep lumps under the skin). The past two days, ive gotten cystic bumps (forehead, chin) and this was the only new item I added. Discovered the foreahead cyst today and I wore this foundation only part of the day yesterday. Nothing else new in my skin care which leads me to this. This does contain stearic acid which is comedogenic– can cause breakouts. I’m going to test again once things heal– but I’m 80% sure its from this foundation being I’ve been playing around with it daily. I wore Outlast the full week prior and thats never broke me out, but started trying this foundation towards the end of the week and immediately have three large bumps after the three days. Ugh. If so, will be returning.
