Pleasantly surprised! – I saw this on sale for $5 on Black Friday so I gave it a shot and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought that it would be another bad purchase that ended up in my make up bag. I was wrong! I got the Rosy Nude shade. I like the applicator, the product goes on smoothly and is moisturizing. I usually use a lip liner to outline my lips and didn’t need one because the applicator did a pretty good job alone. After it dries, the color is matte. I wore it to a holiday party and was drinking & eating and it lasted quite a few hours. I had to remove it with a makeup removing wipe and there was still a tint left (after all, it’s a lip stain).

Relacing my Urban Decay lip bond – I’m aware that UD lip bond isn’t a tint like this one. But, I’m constantly on the search for lip products that last under my mask. As long as I let the product sit before wiping the excess off, the stain from this product last all day. It doesn’t matter if I go out to eat or I have my mask on while teaching, 9 times out of 10 I don’t have to retouch it during the day. I bought this during black Friday to try them. But I will definitely buy this when I run out.

It lasts… and it lasts… I love it! – Bought this because it was super cheap/on sale and it seemed greatly loved. I don’t know much about the lipstick/stain world, and my only point of comparison is a NYX lipgloss that irritated my very sensitive lips. Very happy to report that’s not the case with the Peripera lip stain!!!

Works well on lips and cheeks – I bought this initially for my lips. The color is nice and it goes on without feeling too matte or sticky, but I still like to apply an oil or gloss over it. The color is nice. I thought this was going to be an all day type of stain but you do have to reapply it throughout the day. I used it also on my cheeks and it works as a blush as well.

Drys Lips after awhile – This is a nice color that I purchased. It does what it is supposed to but there is some drying to my lips being it doesn’t have a moistening effect. I still like it for the color and the amount of time it lasts. I have added a colored ChapStick to it after it is on for about 15min. The applicator could stand to be a little better its a bit cheap there. The product could stand to have some moisturizing properties that would help it stop drying the lips. That’s why my stars are not five.

A little disappointed – I was hoping this “stain” would last at least 8 hours and last through at least one small drink and snack. But it didn’t. The product application was nice and smooth and it gave a very natural matte finish. Of course since it is “matte” it is rather drying but that could be fixed by adding a moisture lip balm over it. It was very pretty, I just wish it lasted longer. I might take a chance and order a darker color hoping for more stain.

I’m not the ideal sample size, but it’s great! – I don’t wear lip sticks. I barely wear this lip stain. But I was going on some trips and getting pictures done and wanted a tiny pop of color, dang it. So I grabbed this: it’s so smooth. “Velvet” is right. It’s very very very thick and well pigmented. A tiny bit goes a super long way. I like to do two layers and then blot. I primarily use Burt’s Bees peppermint chapstick in the daily, and this allows me to moisturize over it. My chapstick does pick up some of the pigment, but it’s not awful. I am someone who licks and chews their lips if I won’t have gum, though, so it probably doesn’t last me as well as it should. Ie: not the target audience or ideal sample size. But I’m confident that if you are capable of acting like an adult and leaving your lips alone while you’re wearing lip color, it’ll last all day.

Stays put and long lasting color! – I purchased #20, unsure of how true red it was going to be. It is pretty true red but pulls a cool undertone so it does not make my teeth look yellow (woo hoo). The smiling photo is freshly, thickly applied, and no smile is right after I wiped it off with a qtip and applied aquaphor over it. Once wiped off, it is a long lasting lip stain that is smudge-proof and easy to refresh throughout the day with a quick swipe of a time ltinted balm or gloss. By itself, the product is matte and not hydrating at all.
