Fun kit, need a little improvement – This was a fun activity that the kids were excited about. However, it could use a couple improvements. The chapstick wax and base don’t melt down following the instructions and I ended up having to make a double boiler on the stove for that part. Also, the amounts are off, you need 1/2 more than the recipe calls for in order to fill the chap stick above the stick on the middle of the tube. Because of that we only had enough to make four instead of the five. I think we’ll melt down old Chapsticks if we do this again. The flavors/colors and shimmer are great! Will definitely use those again.

Great for older child too! – I purchased this for an older child (11) who is starting to love beauty products and enjoys making things herself. Although the science/STEM lab is appealing, that is not why she loves this kit, so it’s not just for girls who like science, but also for kids who just like hands on activities.

Mommy and Me Projects – I bought this for my girls and I do together. The product presentation is adorable. You get 5 containers, 5 colors, and 2 wax stuff. The supplies are meant for people with tiny hands probably for the kids to do the majority of the work but my girls are 7 and 6 so I was helping more than I probably should have but I also didn’t want a huge mess. The melting of the wax was the most changeling part. You need to hold this tiny cup in hot water and try not to touch the water because it will hurt. I would recommend this product for 9-12-year-old girls. It was overall a fun experience for my girls and I. They had a lot of fun. Picking the lip balms flavor was their favorite party.

Very cute set! – My 6 year old loves this! We have had several bath bomb kits that we couldn’t get to work out. It was frustrating and in the end we didn’t even have a product to use. I was worried this would turn out the same but they turned out great! Very easy to do and simple instructions. There are several complaints that the kids can’t completely do this on their own because of the hot water involved. I did have to help her in melting the wax but I just view it as a craft we can do together! Very cute! Highly recommend especially for under $10.

This set was fun and she liked it a lot with one exception. The process to “melt” the wax-like chips was to use hot water and stir it and quickly move to pour it into the tube at some point. She didn’t do so well with that part…well, WE didn’t do so well. It was a little tricky to keep it viscous enough to be pour-able. But we managed…other than that, very fun!

Get a different kit – I bought this as an activity for my almost-4-year-old to do during quarantine. I had made lip balm a few times a ling time ago, but this was the most aggregating lip balm experience.

Microwave instead!! Great kit – This kit was a lot of fun!! My step daughter loves this brand too .. we recommend getting a microwave safe cup though and microwaving the ingredients instead of mixing it up in the cup and a bowl of boiling hot water .. it just didn’t work .. but the microwave did .. great kit thanks again!!
