Great value! – Exactly as advertised. Arrived early. The right color for me and a better price than the Ben Nye student kits go for. Student kits are a good size for on the go or if you aren’t sure about the colors you need and just want to try it out. Would buy again and will certainly recommend.

Mehron Mini-pro Theatrical Make-up kit: easy to apply, and lasts well… but not big enough for more than a few applications. – I purchased a Mehron Mini-pro Theatrical Make-up Kit for use during our community theater production of William Shakespeare’s “Macbeth.” This is a very satisfactory stage make-up kit that worked effectively throughout our show’s run. It contains a good selection of base colors. The base was easy to apply and stood up well under hot stage lights, without ever breaking down, melting, or running. The only downside: the kit is too small, with the amount of flesh tone base barely adequate to cover all our dress rehearsals and performances. Still, this is a reasonably good value for money, and is a product I can easily recommend.

Easy to use, looks good, but doesn’t go as far as expected. – This make up went on easily, looked great on stage, and stayed on well. My only complaint, and perhaps it was my fault to have my expectations too high based on other reviews, but it did not last as long as I would have liked or expect. I purchased ten kits in hopes to cover my 21-person cast for three performances and a dress rehearsal and within the first use, it seemed that the foundation pods were half-gone. My students learned to use less, but I guess I expected the pods to be deeper, though the price is still good for its contents.

Good for plays. – It is a box of different shades of makeup and blush and powder. I used it in play and it held up well. The instruction book included shows how to do aged makeup. I would have preferred a more general instruction booklet. The make up reminds me of the Ben Nye sets but it feels more greasy and is kind of hard to remove. Still a good value as long as it is for occasional use. I usually do not use foundation so may be a bit biased. Lol.

Overall a good kit for a small number of performances – Over all there were enough colors to do what we needed. We were able to find colors for base plus highlights and shadows.When using one color for the base there is only enough to cover about 10-12 faces or 2 faces for 5 performances. The powder puff is small and hard which makes it practically useless. This was easily replaced with one from the dollar store. We did need to find individual colors for lips and cheeks. This met our needs for two children for this show. We will need to find more foundation/base color in order to use this kit for any future performances.
