Small but nice – I have been searching forever for an eyeshadow that’s the same color, or very close to the color of my eyelids , to cover the dark shadow in the inside corner of my eyes. The only time I’ve ever found was part of a Maybelline all-in-one kit. Luckily, I like the blush too and another shadow but I’ll never use the frosted hi lighter or the other shadows so at least 1/2 it is wasted.

It’s alright, but the silver shade is a let down. – Pigment is alright, blendability is good. There is a bit more fallout in the pan than other products, so I apply while before wiping off my bake to be safe.

Broken item upon arrival – I love Maybelline The City mini palette collection, in particular the 430 Downtown Sunrise eye shadow set. Got shipped in a routine envelope, no extra bubble wrap so obviously the shadows arrived crumbled/ broken upon arrival. Be aware Eyeshadows/ cosmetics are one of those items unbelievable for return .

Super product – I love the small size of these shadow compacts and the colors as well. The amount of shimmer is just right, I have ordered these at least three times and if they keep making them I am sure I will order them many more times. I highly recommend them.

Can’t believe how beautiful this looks! – I had to write a review on this eyeshadow because I am truly amazed at how beautiful it blends and looks. I have been using Lancome and Bare Minerals products for years but decided to try something new for a change. What a pleasant surprise to have found a cosmetic that works just as well as the higher end eye shadows for a fraction of the price! I bought the Matte About Town shade and plan to buy Brooklyn Nude next. For the price, you really can’t beat it. It’s a great little find. If you’re wanting to try a new shade but just don’t want to take the chance with a higher end eyeshadow, Maybelline is the way to go. I highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed. Also, I have very sensitive skin and there are many cosmetics that just don’t work for me because I’ll develop an allergic reaction. Not so with this eyeshadow. No problems at all.

Creamy. – This is a really creamy, highly pigmented shadow formula. It’s a much softer, creamier formula that earlier palette compilations from Maybelline. In most ways, this is a positive: This is a pleasure to touch and use and it gives a true-to-palette-color pay off at the first stroke. It also, technically, wears well in that the color I apply in the morning is still there in the evening. But in one aspect, it doesn’t wear perfectly (and this is the negative in the creamier formula), these colors blend so well that they merge into each other with crazy ease. I find that blending is fast, but if I apply 4 colors in the morning, by evening I look like I’m only wearing two. Yet, this without them looking faded, per se; they just seem to merge into themselves. I own both the chill neutrals and the brown palette, and this issue is more pronounced with the brown palette. A setting spray can help, but I find the simplest course of action is to simply underblend a tiny, tiny bit. The older drier formulas (that had less pigmentation and had to be built up) actually stayed in place a little better. It should also be noted that some of these palettes are all shimmer or contain no brownbone shade, so my overall impression is that these are nice color additions but not quite stand alone palettes. However, the colors are true to the image and quite nice overall, though their overblendable nature makes them less versatile.
