Color is as desired – Although it arrived looking as though it had been opened, it didn’t appear to have been used. I went ahead and tried it on my lips anyway so prayerfully I survive to use this again another day. As for the color, it is spot on to what I wanted: a deep plum color. I only applied one coat to see the color against my skin but this product requires two coats to achieve opacity. Still looks good with one; I just prefer a more opaque look. It is not a moisturizing product but I’m not really looking for that out of a matte lipstain. Haven’t tested the longevity of this particular color yet but I know that this line tends to be long-lasting, though it does bleed and stain.

Color stays true and looks natural. – This smudged acts like a stain that really lasts and looks like part of your skin. Very natural on lips, and even for cheeks and eyelids as a blush or lid color. Most lip colors turn too bright pink or orange on me, but this stays a very flattering color. I am pale, but I think it would work for many skin tones because you can easily control the saturation and color by gently smudging. Blended in, this does not look like make-up, but just looks healthy. Unblended, it is quite a nice pop of color.

Dries beautifully and not sticky. – I have used this exact brand and color for years and I love it. Walmart doesn’t have it anymore so I love that it’s available on Amazon. Stays on because it’s a lip stain and dries quickly. Once it dries I put aquaphor lip balm over it for moisture.
