Bold black – Recommended. It’s matte black & goes on very nice & bold. Easy to blend to tone down. I use it to set my eyeliner which can sometimes leave the line on the upper lid if not blended out well enough. I like that it is true black, blends nice for a smokey eye. It will last all day if you set it over black eye pencil or primer. What I don’t like is that Talc is the 1st ingredient, isn’t that toxic? So just beware of that.

Rich color, doesn’t smudge – Love it! I bought the black a little over a year ago and have used it daily as eyeliner. I was looking for something that doesn’t smudge or fade, and this is excellent! I do put primer and powder on first. Sometimes it smudges along my lower lashes if I don’t get the foundation powder on correctly. Also, if you are messy and get drops of it on your check, it doesn’t smudge so it won’t brush off, so be careful! It’s buildable, which I love, and lasts all day. I’ve only used about 15% of the container in a year, but the eyeshadow finally cracked into pieces, and is now more powdery and is getting everywhere. I wrapped it in a tissue since the powder is fine and comes through the crack around the lid, but this is only happening in the past week, after a year, so I’m not even deducting a star. I love it and am buying it again.
